LG Z2 vs ZX Review

There are limited available options for us if we are looking for OLED 8K TV in 2022. Two of the options are LG Z2 and ZX. LG Z2 is introduced as 8K OLED TV from LG’s 2022 TV lineup while LG ZX was released as part of LG’s 2020 TV lineup. Both of LG Z2 and ZX are introduced with two screen size options: 88-Inch (OLED88Z2PUA & OLED88ZXPUA) and 77-Inch (OLED77Z2PUA & OLED77ZXPUA). We can call LG Z2 as the successor of LG ZX if we look at their release year. Is LG Z2 a better successor series? It’s important for us to know more about the key differences between LG Z2 and ZX before we can find out whether LG Z2 is the better successor series.

What are Their Key Differences?

There are few differences between LG Z2 and ZX that we can find after we look at their table of specs and features. The first key difference between LG Z2 and ZX comes from their picture processor. Is LG Z2 a Better Successor?

LG Z2 can be called as the successor of LG ZX although LG Z2 is introduced as part of LG’s 2022 TV lineup while LG ZX was released as part of LG’s 2020 TV lineup (two years apart). From our discussion above, we can find that LG Z2 is a better successor of LG ZX since it comes with newer version of processor (α9 Gen 5 AI Processor 8K), better wireless (Wifi 6), newer version of WebOS (WebOS 22) and better magic remote version (Magic Remote with NFC) as well as better FreeSync Version (FreeSync Premium) and Google Stadia/Nvidia GeForce Now. LG ZX can be called as the older version of LG Z2. Besides a number of similarities, LG ZX comes with older version of processor (α9 Gen 3 AI Processor 8K), standard wireless (Wifi 5), older version of WebOS (WebOS 5.0), standard magic remote, standard FreeSync and no Google Stadia/Nvidia GeForce Now. LG ZX is basically an alternative choice of LG Z2 if we can find it offered at the lower price with some special discount.
