Samsung QN85D is basically a better successor of Samsung QN85C. It comes with a better picture processor while also can deliver greater contrast ratio with higher peak brightness on top of its VA panel. Samsung QN85C is the predecessor series that comes with IPS Panel. With its IPS panel, Samsung QN85C is able to deliver better side viewing angle than Samsung QN85D. Samsung QN85C is also completed with more advanced internal speaker system (2.2.2Ch 60W) speaker system than Samsung QN85D (2.2CH 40W). It’s also offered at a lower price than Samsung QN85C for similar screen size option. But Samsung QN85C is indeed less excellent in contrast ratio, less excellent in picture optimization while comes with older version of TIZEN. So if your budget is more limited or you are simply looking for better side viewing angle then Samsung QN85C is a good choice for you.
